The 2015 VW Golf Arriving Soon near Fife at Larson Volkswagen has kept us eagerly awaiting its arrival. NYDailyNews.Com says, “The seventh generation 2015 Volkswagen is improved in every way.” The new Golf is the first Volkswagen to see the new modular MQB platform that is set to underpin future Jetta and Passat models. The new platform adds 10-percent torsional stiffness, sheds weight, and makes the Golf 2.1 inches longer and 0.5 inches wider. Sources say those changes offer better handling and provide more interior space. It is offered as a two-door or four-door hatchback.

Powering the 2015 Golf will be three available engine options to choose from: a turbocharged 1.8L four-cylinder good for 23 mpg City/30 Highway for some trim levels, and up to 26 City/37 Highway when paired with the six-speed manual transmission. Keeping the TDI engine alive, Volkswagen offers a new version that now puts out 150 hp from the 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine. Fuel economy ratings for the new TDI option are 31 City/42 Highway. The focus in 2015 for the TDI model engine was to produce a more efficient and cleaner engine so engineers added a selective catalytic reduction system with urea injection. Powering the more performance oriented GTI is a 2.0L turbocharged 210 hp four-cylinder engine that still earns 25 mpg City/34 Highway.

The interior of the 2015 VW Golf Arriving Soon near Fife has been redesigned with refinement in mind. Standard features now include Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, and a 5.8″ touchscreen. Standard safety features for the Volkswagen Golf include traction and stability control, antilock disc brakes (that are capable of stopping the Golf from 60 mph to zero in just 121 feet), front side airbags and side curtain airbags. In crash testing conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Golf received the highest possible score in the moderate-overlap frontal-offset, side-impact and roof strength tests. Its seat/head-restraint also earned the highest rank for whiplash protection in rear impacts. Other standard safety features include seven active stability-enhancing systems, intelligent crash response, a crash-optimized front end, and post-collision braking. Standard equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, heated mirrors, full power accessories, cruise control, air-conditioning, and power-reclining front seats. If you are in need of Volkswagen Maintenance near Puyallup, our service experts at Larson Volkswagen have the training and knowledge to repair your Volkswagen in a timely fashion. Our hours are 7:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday. We recommend reading through your service manual to find how to best maintain your Volkswagen as it was written by professionals who designed the car and know what regular maintenance needs to happen and when. Some models are different than others when it comes to routine maintenance but you can expect a general routine stop for service every 15,000 miles. Some maintenance that is performed at these intervals are things like changing the oil, rotating your tires, checking or replacing the engine air filter, checking the cabin air filter, checking on windshield wiper blades, inspecting your fuel filter, checking the levels of engine coolant, checking power steering fluid, checking transmission fluid, and more.

Larson Volkswagen honors all Volkswagen Dealer Coupons. If you need Volkswagen Maintenance near Puyallup and have a coupon for VW approved battery and installation, complimentary battery check, complimentary A/C inspection, a mail-in rebate on Volkswagen accessories, a mail-in rebate on VW synthetic oil, or the Volkswagen tire store price match guarantee, we will honor them all.

If you do not perform the necessary routine maintenance to your Volkswagen you run the risk of causing damage to your vehicle that could become more costly to replace than it would have been to maintain. For instance, if you don’t follow proper intervals for oil changes you run the risk of damaging internal components necessary to the engine. This happens when the oil breaks down at a molecular level and looses the ability to properly lubricate components that operate under extreme pressures. If you wait too long and ignore your “check engine light” you might just end up needing to replace the engine all together. Other routine maintenance that is important to stay on top of is keeping your tires wearing evenly. When the service professionals at Larson rotate your tires, they swap the front with the back. They do this because front tires experience more stress while driving than rear tires (from turning and braking). If regular tire rotations are not performed, tires may begin to wear unevenly which can result in poor driving conditions. The 2015 Volkswagen GTI Arriving Soon in Tacoma will be offered in two trim levels and they are the SE and Autobahn. Not much information has been released on what each trim level will include, but expect features to carry over from previous model years. Features like 18″ alloy wheels, a rear roof spoiler, foglights, heated outside mirrors, heated washer nozzles, a trip computer, air-conditioning, heated front sport seats, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and an eight-speaker sound system with satellite radio. The 2015 Golf GTI is 2.2 inches longer and 0.5 inches wider than the current car. It is also 1.1 inches lower, which benefits both aerodynamic performance and the car’s proportions. The interior package has been optimized to give 0.6 inches more rear-seat legroom and 1.2 inches of additional shoulder room in the back. The trunk is approximately 30 percent larger than in the car it replaces.

Available later in the year, the Performance Package will become available and includes: larger front and rear brakes, a torque-sensing electronically-controlled limited-slip differential, and a 10 hp boost over the regular GTI. A Lighting Package will also be available and offers bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and the Adaptive Front-lighting system. Also look for the GTI SE package that adds more standard equipment like a power tilt and slide sunroof, keyless access with push-button start, a rearview camera, automatic headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and leather seating surfaces.
